Killiney- Please, just stick to what you guys are good at.
(I am sorry that I haven't upload the photos yet, took the photos with my camera as this was an unexpected review.)
Should a stall that had been famous for a certain dish suddenly add in other kind of food, hoping to diversify the stall? My answer, no. No stall should ever do that, one example is Bakerzin, I still think that they should just concentrate on their desserts and just dump all their crappy main course away. This is another stall like Bakerzin, they are famous for their coffee, yet they try to add in some local delight to win more fan. The result: Horribly-tasting food.
I had their Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee ($4.50), After I put my bag down, they served the dish to me almost instantly. Seeing how fast it was served, rather than being happy at their fast service, I knew instantly that it was going to be a waste of calories. They did not spend enough time to fry the noodle so that the stock would be absorb by the noodle, the dish was so soupy, I could simply use the spoon and get a big spoonful of the soup. The noodle was so undercooked, it stuck to my teeth when I bite into it. Also, the prawns were tasteless. Even though they used pork lard for this, it was not able to save this disastrous dish. (1/5- Not meant to be eaten at all.)
Luckily, their coffee did not disappoint me. I had their Kopi C ($1.30), it was more towards the bitter side, which I like. The coffee taste is there but I found it too milky and a little flat, it taste like it uses fresh milk instead of condensed milk.. Maybe I should order Kopi C Kau (Strong coffee with milk and sugar.) next time? (4/5- Less milk and stronger taste, please.)
